AFC Leopards Sponsorship Deal Might go to Tribunal eventually
Kenya’s Sports Dispute Terminal has ruled for a dispute between two rivaling factions within the management of the country’s Premier League football club AFC Leopards regarding two sponsorship relates to gambling operators Betway and Sportpesa.
According to the tribunal, both agreements were void therefore the two factions will have to concur upon one sponsor. Otherwise, the tribunal it self will choose what type of the two organizations could be represented by AFC Leopards.
John Ohaga, Chairman associated with the SDT, explained that under an understanding, made on December 22, 2015, all of the club’s choices concerning the above-mentioned deals need that is first be authorized by tribunal users to be considered valid.
One of many club’s factions signed a sponsorship agreement with Sportpesa on January 26, and the other penned a similar cope with rival Betway only a time later.
